Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies

The Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies at Bar-Ilan University is the only one in the country to train translators (of written texts) as well as interpreters (who provide simultaneous or consecutive oral translation). Home to the oldest translation program in Israel, it is unique in providing students with the opportunity to pursue a master's degree (with certification exams) and a PhD in the burgeoning field of translation studies.
